2005My eyesight has diminished since I came out of the 22 hours. The world around me is blurrier. After finishing the second exposure, I felt like I'd been working in the darkroom for 7 or 8 hours. For this exposure, I will remain on the outside.

Vision problems
2005I can see less from my left eye than from my right. It feels sore when I rub it - like it's got a bruise. The long night was too much. The glare of the sun too bright when I came out. Wish I could be inside when I close Materializer in though grateful my eyes can rest.

I left my traces
2005I had the strange sensation of being stuck onto a glass sphere. All the world on the inside... All I do is wave at it. Do we really leave places? Is there such a thing as reuniting? When Emi calls me out, I wake up from somewhere else. Will we meet in China on the paper? My head still buzzes a bit. Time did not exist. She wasn't away... I feel the same now about China... I never really left it.

Enschede-Xiamen
2005Still on holiday for the Spring Festival, there are no students in this building. The enormous space is overwhelmingly inviting us to put up the tent. Not unlike a theatre, the courtyard can be seen from all levels. This is the last work we complete in China. On a courtyard in Zhangzou city university, under the bright sun.

Photogram
2005The surface has distinctly different colors than the one from Quanzhou. As expected, light conditions vary enough to be able to show through colour where the photograms were made.
